Chautauqua’s Boys and Girls Club is the longest running summer day camp in the United States. The program, for youth in second grade to tenth grade, includes field activities, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, nature, crafts, sports, music, and arts. Program hours are 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 2–4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Compensation
Starting at $17.00, with potential to earn up to $18.00 based on experience and qualifications.
Work Responsibilities
Referral Program
Earn a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for successful hires who remain employed for at least 90 days, or 30 days for seasonal positions.
Schedule
Typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., averaging 30 hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Mandatory in-person staff training occurs the week before operations begin.
Living on Grounds
Limited housing options may be available; candidates should plan accordingly. Employer-provided housing may be available.
