Position Summary

As a Specialty Cook, you’re a key member in bringing bold flavors and fresh ideas. You’ll be responsible for working closely with the Chef or Sous Chef, you’ll assist in prepping and preparing a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and creativity.

In this role, your focus is on executing each task efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation. In addition, you’re a vital role in delivering a memorable dining experience for every guest.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $25.00-$26.00.

From 2011-2013, Amalie Arena had more than $62 million in improvements that have clearly revolutionized the industry and made it the premier entertainment venue in the state of Florida. With a wide array of venues spread throughout the United States, it can be difficult to find one that distinguishes itself from the others. That is not the case with the renovated AMALIE Arena, Florida’s premier entertainment venue and home of the three-time Stanley Cup champion, Tampa Bay Lightning.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Board of Health and ServSafe regulations.
  • Prepare food products as directed by recipe and/or supervisor while maintaining strict adherence to standards and speculation.
  • Complete all assigned production priorities daily.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area according (including but not limited to refrigerators, counters, tables, storage areas, etc.)
  • Equipment/tools may be available, but it is suggested that you provide and secure your own tools.
  • Inform supervisor of any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Knowledge of food quality, utilization, storage, rotation and consistency.
  • Demonstrates practical understanding of kitchen sanitation.
Qualifications
  • Creates and supports a team environment.
  • Scheduling flexibility is essential, we must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Must be able to work in a high stress environment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in an environment having both hot and cold temperatures.
  • Must have a pleasant personality and adhere to Uniform Standards policy.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
