Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join a specialized compounding pharmacy in Pittsburgh. This 13-week contract position offers the potential for permanent hire. If you are passionate about personalized pharmaceutical care and thrive in a hands-on environment, this could be the right fit for you.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday

  • Shift options: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM or 11:00 PM 7:00 AM

  • Rotating weekends required; schedule may include Saturday or Sunday ongoing

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise fulfillment operations and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.

  • Monitor prescription orders for accuracy, proper preparation, and documentation.

  • Oversee shipping and handling of prescriptions as needed.

  • Counsel patients on compounded prescriptions, OTC medications, and supplements.

  • Develop therapeutic care plans and monitor drug therapies for safety and effectiveness.

  • Maintain accurate patient medication histories and assess treatment outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and clear Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.

  • Recent retail pharmacy experience required.

  • Non-sterile and/or sterile compounding experience required.

  • Strong attendance and reliability are critical for success in this role.

  • Newer pharmacy graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
