An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join their Specialty Compounding Pharmacy team. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Staff Pharmacist to join a high-performing Specialty Compounding Pharmacy team near Philadelphia, PA. This is a 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire, ideal for pharmacists passionate about personalized care and precision medication solutions.
Position Overview:
In this role, you ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, safety, and compliance of all prescription fulfillment activities during your shift. You'll also work closely with patients and prescribers to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes through bespoke compound preparations. This position demands a high level of attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability, especially when overseeing pharmacy staff and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise fulfillment operations and pharmacy technicians during assigned shift
Participate in shipping, packaging, and final checks of prescriptions when needed
Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, in compliance with laws and regulations
Review patient medication histories and provide individualized care and counseling
Assess drug therapy for accuracy, therapeutic appropriateness, and potential interactions
Educate patients on compounded, prescription, and OTC medications, including supplements
Maintain documentation in accordance with legal and facility standards
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 6am to 230pm or 3pm to 11:30pm
Requirements:
Active and clear Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
At least 1 year of recent retail pharmacy experience
Experience with non-sterile and/or sterile compounding required
Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy regulations
Excellent attendance and reliability are critical
