Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN), upon hire.
  • Associates level of nursing (ADN).
  • Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (American Heart Association), within 14 days.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to ensure cost-effective, quality, patient-focused care.
  • Ongoing assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Documenting in patient/unit records to meet legal/quality requirements.
  • Provide teaching and information to patients/families on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Smoking Cessation, Discharge instructions.
  • Demonstrates commitment to hospital values, confidentiality, ethical decisions, and patient safety.
  • Engages in research activities and collaborates with Outcomes managers and department.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Speciality Clinic RN, you will be a visionary leader, setting the standard for exceptional patient care and empowering our teams to achieve unparalleled clinical excellence.

This RN position will support our Pain Clinic within our St. Joseph Medical Group.

Every day, you will inspire and lead a dedicated clinical team (nurses & aides) to prioritize patient needs, maintaining rigorous oversight of regulatory compliance, staffing, and fiscal health. You'll passionately advocate for your team, translating their insights into actionable strategies that uplift both staff and patient experiences.

  • Utilizes the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost effective, quality driven, and patient focused manner. Collects pertinent social, psychological, developmental and spiritual data from the patient, significant others and other health care team members.
  • Performs as ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnosis and goals, plans appropriate interventions, and evaluates the outcome of the interventions.
  • Consistently documents in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care in order to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
  • Provides appropriate teaching and information to patients and families including information on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision –making, and ensuring patient safety.
  • Uses interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population, Participates in research activities, identifies opportunities for research, and collaborates with the Outcomes managers and department.
