Qualifications

• Master's Degree or equivalent in theology/spiritual care relevant to chaplaincy boards.
• Completion of four CPE units.
• National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical/pastoral experience in healthcare settings.

• Provide professional spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families, and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

As a leader of the healthcare team, they are directly responsible for the implementation of the Mission and Values and leads implementation of policies and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations.


• Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.


• Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.


• 5 years Clinical and/or pastoral experience in healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership in professional organizations such as APC, NACC, etc.


• Participation in chaplain related, publication worthy research.
