Job summary

John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as an Outpatient Staff Nurse in Specialty Care Services.

The RN provides comprehensive, evidence-based care to Veterans in an outpatient setting, serving as a clinical leader and care coordinator. Qualified candidates must meet VA nursing education and licensure requirements, maintain an active state license, and demonstrate strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited nursing program and RN licensure.
• Active state RN license in good standing.
• BSN and/or MSN may be preferred depending on unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient nursing care to Veterans using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures per VA policy.
• Coordinate care with interprofessional teams and educate Veterans and families.
• Ensure patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
