UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Specialty Navigator II in Norwood, MA to process referrals and authorizations for Atrius Health patients. The role involves handling inbound requests, maintaining patient records, and guiding patients and providers through the referral process.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm EST. Office-based in Norwood with potential on-site training or connectivity-related adjustments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in a medical office setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to type while talking and navigate multiple screens.

Responsibilities

• Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations.
• Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers.
• Provide high level customer service to patients over the phone.
• Respond to large volumes of calls, faxes and internet queries per scripts.
• Obtain authorizations from payer sites and log credentials.
• Keep patients and facilities informed of status and updates.
• Escalate issues to supervisory staff when needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely referrals and QA.
