Qualifications

• Adapt classroom activities under supervision to support objectives.
• Assist with instructional activities and behavior management.
• Provide first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Support behavioral interventions to maintain a safe classroom.
• Attend meetings to relay information and update progress.
• Communicate with staff to evaluate progress and IEP objectives.
• Escort students safely to buses/cars.
• Implement IEP plans under supervision and reinforce concepts.
• Maintain materials, records and documentation of student activities.
• Monitor students in various school environments for safety.

Responsibilities

• Administers tests and modifies student work to limit behavior issues.
• Provides first aid and medical assistance as directed by a health care professional.
• Assists with behavior interventions to ensure a safe environment.
• Attends meetings and trainings to relay information.
• Communicates with instructional staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Escorts students to/from buses or cars for safety.
• Implements plans designed by IEP team under supervision.
• Maintains instructional materials and records.
• Monitors students across environments for safety.
• Provides instruction to students in various activities to reinforce objectives.
• Remains with student to ensure safety and de-escalation.
