Job summary

The Park Hill High School is seeking a High School Specialized Teacher Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This 9-month position supports instructional programs and assists in supervising and teaching students with special needs within regular or self-contained classrooms.

Applicants must hold Missouri Substitute Certificate and either 36 college credit hours or 20 hours Frontline training plus a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under supervision to support objectives.
• Administers tests, homework, and make-up work to support learning goals.
• Provides first aid and medical assistance as directed by health staff.
• Assists with behavioral interventions to ensure a safe environment.
• Attends meetings and in-service trainings for job-related information.
• Communicates with supervising staff about progress and IEP objectives.
• Escorts students to/from buses or cars to ensure safety.
• Implements IEP plans under supervision for student learning.
• Maintains instructional materials and records for mandated requirements.
• Monitors students in various school settings to maintain safety.
