Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Specialized Pre-K Substitute Teacher to support classroom activities, reinforce curriculum, and ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment for young children. You’ll partner with teachers, families, and center staff to maintain program quality and compliance with state pre-K requirements.

You will engage with children through developmentally appropriate activities, document daily observations, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-K required training or certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to engage with children safely and actively.
• English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency to communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with curriculum implementation while meeting each child's needs.
• Support daily monitoring and recordkeeping for state requirements.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center’s enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and partners.

When you join our team as a Specialized Pre-K Substitute Teacher you will:

• Assist teachers with the implementation of the KinderCare’s Curriculum and State Public Pre-K requirements, in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child; create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Support the daily monitoring and recordkeeping, as needed, for State Public Pre-K requirements.
• Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Outstanding customer service skills
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Pre-K required training or certifications or willingness to obtain
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
