Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Specialized Pre-K Substitute Teacher to support curriculum implementation and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young learners. You will assist teachers with the curriculum and State Public Pre-K requirements while partnering with families.

You will monitor daily activities, coordinate with parents, and work with center staff to meet enrollment and engagement goals.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service abilities required.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-K training or certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Able to assist with safety and physical activities to keep children safe.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate with families.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with implementing KinderCare's Curriculum and State Public Pre-K requirements, creating a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Support daily monitoring and recordkeeping for State Public Pre-K requirements.
• Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support your center's success; collaborate with center staff and leadership to achieve enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Outstanding customer service skills
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Pre-K requiredtrainingor certifications or willingness to obtain
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
