Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Advanced Pharmacy Technician to support investigational drug services. You will manage sterile and hazardous compounding, assist with inventory control, and lead technicians while ensuring compliance with USP protocols and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 4 years as a pharmacy technician with 2 years in a specialized area, plus relevant licenses and sterile compounding certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 4 years as a pharmacy technician, and 2 years in a specialized area.
• Licenses and Certifications: (TSBP) Registered Technician or (PHARM INT) Pharmacist intern; Sterile compounding (IV) certification; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Pharmacy Technician (APT) responsibilities per organizational policies.
• Coordinate daily workflow and provide leadership to other technicians.
• Handle sterile and hazardous compounding, including IV admixtures.
• Order, shipping, receiving and documenting pharmacy inventory activities.
• Adhere to USP standards and protocol requirements; perform pharmaceutical calculations.
