Job summary

Bosch Charleston in the Lowcountry is seeking a skilled technician to directly support assembly lines, troubleshoot components, monitor equipment, and drive improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness.

You'll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborate with operators and engineers, and develop training materials while maintaining safety and quality. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing or machining
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics
  • Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
  • Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
  • Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
  • Mechatronics training (desired)

Job Description

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Job scope will require an emphasis on electrical / controls topics, but candidate must have an understanding in both mechanical and electrical systems (mechatronics).
    • Electrical and mechanical work will be required.
  • Detailed knowledge of Staubli and Omron robots, vision systems, Trumpf lasers, and Profibus required.
  • Knowledge of SAP work order/spare parts system is also required.
  • Understands control systems and is able to connect to and troubleshoot PLC programs. Programming experience is a plus. Siemens, Allen Bradley, and OpCon experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines (drives, axes, etc.) preferred.

  • Starting hourly rate for this position is$33.00 - $37.30based on experience and shift. As a Bosch employee, you can achieve an hourly rate up to$42.25through skills development and strong contributions.
