Job summary

Advanced Mulch is seeking a dependable fleet service technician/mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of trucks and equipment. You will work full-time with a competitive wage, yearly bonuses, and opportunities to grow.

The role emphasizes diagnosing issues early to keep daily operations smooth. Ideal candidates have experience or schooling on diesel engines, electronics, hydraulics, and DEF systems, with a focus on quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience or schooling on modern diesel engines, computer systems, electronics, hydraulics, drivetrain, air brakes, and DEF systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fleet trucks and equipment.
• Repair fleet trucks and equipment as needed to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs to a successful conclusion.

Job description

Come join a team on the move! Advanced Mulch is seeking dependable, specialized fleet service technician / mechanic for work in our mulch manufacturing and installation divisions. We offer a steady, full-time schedule, laid back atmosphere, and growth opportunities. This position will be responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment as well as the repair of that same fleet. Specific, in-depth, training relative to specialized trucks will be provided to selected applicant.

This unique position provides the opportunity for our mechanics to interact with the equipment on a daily basis to catch small repairs before they turn into large ones and to refine the day to day operation so that productivity is maximized.

Applicants must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machines in our fleet. Experience on every truck/machine type we operate is unnecessary, but applicants must possess ability to see a repair through to completion.

Expect average of 50 hours worked per week. Pay based on experience and skill level. Some travel is available certain times of the year.Must be a well-organized self-starter with good written and verbal communications skills and a positive attitude who takes pride in delivering quality work. Experience or schooling on modern diesel engines, computer systems, electronics, hydraulics, drivetrain, air brakes, and DEF systems needed.
Ability to pass mandated Department of Transportation physical exam and a clean drug screen.
