Job summary

Reynoldsburg City Schools seeks a Specialized Electives Teacher in Music/Art/Wellness/STEM to provide developmentally responsive, standards-aligned instruction across multiple disciplines. The role emphasizes hands-on and experiential learning, with a focus on equity and student growth in accordance with Ohio standards.

The teacher will lead instructional planning under OTES 2.0, assess student progress, and collaborate with stakeholders to support diverse learners within the district’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or subject-specific field from an accredited college or university.
• Valid, active Ohio Teaching License, Certificate, or Permit for the specific subject area and assigned grade band.
• Background checks: FBI and BCI required.
• Master's degree in Education, STEM, Fine Arts, Physical Education, or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of teaching experience in project-based, studio, lab, or outdoor learning environments.
• Experience with PBL, UDL, MTSS, and trauma-informed practices.
• Proficiency with educational technology and production software.

Responsibilities

• Aligns daily instruction with Ohio Learning Standards, NGSS or RTI framework.
• Develops measurable learning goals and a Professional Growth Plan.
• Deliver standards-aligned instruction using district curriculum and resources.
• Use hands-on labs, design challenges, and technology to foster critical thinking and creativity.
• Differentiate content and collaborate with intervention staff for IEPs, 504 Plans, and EL accommodations.
• Coordinate student showcases, exhibitions, concerts, performances, and community engagement.
