The role covers designing instructional content, determining learning objectives, and coordinating with floor supervisors to keep programs current with upgrades. Strong communication and ITAR familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

• Conducts continuous improvement of course material to maintain quality and effectiveness.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the training area, including the cleanliness and upkeep of training rooms.
• Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, course evaluations, project grading/posting, computer-based ordering of supplies/tools, and performance evaluations of students.

Job Description

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Training Specialist to develop, organize, and conduct training activities in a manufacturing environment. Conducts on-site training consisting of lectures, and practical exercises in accordance with approved programs of instruction using lesson plans, technical manuals, student guides, handouts, practical exercise worksheets, and both written and hands-on evaluations.

• Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Possess excellent technical skills to understand and translate information into presentable instructional material.
• Familiar with ITAR policies and procedures.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is [$63,500 - $117,500]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
