Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Specialist, Technical Production for the night shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00pm–4:30am) to support continuous vaccine manufacture at our Athens site. You will coordinate with multiple groups to prepare active ingredients, cells and media, and ensure quality and compliance in a fast-paced, cleanroom environment.

The role emphasizes training, documentation control, and proactive problem solving, with a strong focus on EHS and site projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years in related field.
• Biology or Science degree preferred with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Strong math skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Technical writing and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and evaluate production protocols/experiments for new product transfers and productivity improvements.
• Oversee and ensure training and qualification of team members.
• Review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance; maintain technical data sheets and support documentation.
• Initiate and facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances as needed.
• Demonstrate commitment to EHS programs and initiatives; support site projects and initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide feedback of individual and team performance in Production.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus minimum three-five (3-5) years in related field.
• Preferred Biology Degree or Science Degree or in a related field from an accredited institution, plus three-four (3-4) years of experience in related field.
• Basic math skills.
• Technical writing and equipment/automation trouble shooting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated, strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge.
• Working knowledge of GMP and USDA requirements for Vaccine Manufacturing.
