Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Specialist, Technical Production for the night shift (M-F 8:00pm - 4:30am) to support continuous vaccine manufacturing. You will lead activities related to active ingredient preparation and collaborate with multiple groups to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 3–5 years in a related field or a Biology/Science degree with 3–4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3–5 years in related field.
• Preferred Biology or Science Degree from an accredited institution with 3–4 years experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and database software systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated, strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge; GMP and USDA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and evaluate production protocols/experiments for new product transfers and productivity improvements.
• Oversee and ensure training and qualification of team members.
• Review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance; maintain technical data sheets.
• Initiate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions; escalate disturbances.
• Demonstrate commitment to EHS programs and initiatives.
• Provide feedback on individual and team performance in Production; support site projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure training and qualification of team members.

• Initiate and facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalation of production flow disturbances to Team or Group Leader.
• Demonstrate a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives.
• Provide feedback of individual and team performance in Production.
• Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus minimum three-five (3-5) years in related field.
• Preferred Biology Degree or Science Degree or in a related field from an accredited institution, plus three-four (3-4) years of experience in related field.
• Basic math skills.
• Technical writing and equipment/automation trouble shooting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated, strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge.
• Working knowledge of GMP and USDA requirements for Vaccine Manufacturing.
