Job Title

Oracle Golden Gate DBA with Postgres

Location

Chandler, AZ

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and performance tuning of Oracle databases. This role involves ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of database systems across development, testing, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade Oracle databases 11g, 12c, 19c on Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms.
• Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes and storage.
• Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance.
• Manage user access, roles and privileges.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide root‑cause analysis.
• Support migration and upgrade projects from on‑prem to cloud or to newer versions.
• Work closely with application teams for schema design and performance tuning.

Mandatory Skills

• Oracle Database Administration – strong experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c.

• Performance tuning – SQL tuning, AWR reports, optimizer strategies.
• High availability – Oracle RAC and Data Guard configuration and management.
• Security – user management, roles, privileges and encryption.
• Scripting – proficiency in Shell scripting for automation.
• OS knowledge – Linux, Unix administration basics.
• Patching & upgrades – applying PSU, CPU patches and version upgrades.
• Troubleshooting – strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS RDS for Oracle.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL development.
• Familiarity with GoldenGate for replication.
• Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools.

Experience & Certifications

7 years of Oracle DBA experience.

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) preferred.
