Job summary

gov is seeking a dedicated street cleansing operative to help maintain clean public spaces. You will operate specialist pressure washing equipment to remove dirt and debris from streets and pedestrian areas, with training provided.

Job description

As part of the Team you will help to provide a high-quality street cleansing service across public areas, with particular responsibility for operating specialist pressure washing equipment to remove dirt, staining, detritus and other deposits from streets, pedestrian areas, public spaces and associated infrastructure.

The postholder will also support wider street cleansing operations and may provide occasional relief cover for litter collection duties where appropriately trained, assessed as competent and licensed.

Previous experience is an advantage, but full training will be given to successful applicants.

The hours of work for this post shall be 38 hours per week, worked over five days out of seven. Your actual working hours are based upon shifts which may include morning as well as afternoon, shifts, Monday through to Sunday.
