Qualifications

Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences

• Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degrees. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
• Experience: Four or more years of software engineering, analysis, or related technology experience.
• Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript. Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus. Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies, and experiences may take precedence. Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resources Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Hybrid to normal office environment. Associates may have on-call responsibility after normal working hours and/or on weekends.

Compensation

• The national salary range for Specialist, Software Engineer : $95,500.00-$177,500.00
• The expected starting salary range for Specialist, Software Engineer : $95,500.00 - $143,500.00
