Job Description:

As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris seeks a candidate to develop and maintain software for the radar SDA mission. The role involves solving challenging technical problems in a dynamic environment, focusing on radar system software development, design, implementation, and testing. The candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO, and requires a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Functions:

1. Design and develop software components for the radar subsystem using Fortran, IBM Assembler, and OS JCL.
2. Participate in an agile development team that employs mature software practices and utilizes a technology-supported development infrastructure.
3. Support, maintain, and document legacy software functionalities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or a Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience.
• Development experience on IBM mainframe environments.
• Experience with IBM MVS and JES2.
• Active SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of radar systems.
• Experience with Github/Bitbucket.
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
• Experience with RedHat Linux or similar environments.
• Knowledge of software containerization and orchestration tools like Docker or Podman.

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $73,500 - $135,500. Final compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other factors.
