Responsibilities
- Maintain records in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
- Monitor campus program operations for compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Assist with the marketing and merchandising of school lunch, breakfast, and supper programs.
- Conduct staff trainings and in‑services as requested.
- Assist with the planning, procurement of supplies, setting up, and cleaning after District catering events.
- Adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines corresponding to Child Nutrition Programs.
- Attend meetings, in‑services, trainings, and workshops as requested.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and staff development trainings, submit required documentation by established deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work closely with CNS General Maintenance Staff to assure all cafeteria equipment is functioning properly.
- Be available after hours and on weekends.
- Responsible for injury and injury investigation reports.
- Attend all District Safety Meetings.
- Coordinate with local health departments to ensure inspections comply with state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: High School Diploma or G.E.D. with Certified Food Management Certificate (CFM) obtained within one month.
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management (preferred).
- Knowledge/Skills:
- Fire, safety and health codes.
- HACCP safety procedures.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, refrigeration and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Computer operation and basic mathematical functions.
- Typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance.
- 10‑key calculator usage.
- Personnel management.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.

Physical Demands
- Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of a computer; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
- Occasionally lift or carry objects up to 50 lbs; most days lift or carry at least 25 lbs.
- Special vision requirements including 20/20 corrected and color discrimination.
- Work environment exposure to wet, humid conditions, hot and cold temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, moving parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, vibration.
