Nationwide Insurance is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join its Property and Casualty team. This remote position involves inspecting commercial facilities, managing thermal imaging inspections, and consulting on electrical risk management. Nationwide has an opening for an experienced electrical inspector to join our property/casualty loss control team. This role involves inspecting commercial facilities to identify electrical fire risks and managing the infrared thermal imaging inspection program for our farm and commercial agribusiness customers. The role includes conducting physical inspections, authoring reports, and recommending risk improvements to positively influence loss experience. Responsibilities also include managing our thermal imaging service, such as promoting it to customers, training staff and partners, maintaining equipment, and performing surveys.
This is a work-from-home position, located anywhere in the lower 48 states, with approximately 50% travel nationwide.
Completion of a formal electrician training program or a commercial electrical inspection training program.
This role requires a keen sense of observation, risk assessment skills, and a consulting mindset, especially within the agriculture and food industries. The position involves onsite surveys, risk analysis, report writing, and collaboration with underwriting and clients to reduce exposures.
