Role and Scope of Position:

Supports the implementation of the Eversource Quality Control program related to construction, maintenance, meter service, leak survey, corrosion, damage prevention, LNG, and I&R activities at Eversource Gas. Ensures work complies with federal, state, and company standards, procedures, and safety rules. Has authority to direct or stop work to ensure compliance and acts as a company representative on job sites with decision-making authority within their area.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures safe work practices according to the Company’s Safety manuals.
• Verifies work activities adhere to Gas Distribution standards and are performed by qualified personnel.
• Checks work packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors resources involved in the re-dig program.
• Supports onboarding of contractors and verifies compliance with Operator Qualification Plans.
• Identifies non-compliance and recommends corrective actions.
• Documents inspection results accurately.
• Manages the gas quality control programs.
• Contributes to the annual gas inspection plan, including inspections and re-dig activities.
• Supports ERP roles during emergencies or work continuation events.

Technical Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Knowledge: Gas construction and maintenance standards, safety requirements, assessments, audits, and office automation. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Familiarity with MS Office and similar tools.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3-5 years in gas distribution, utility, or technical fields preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: Expected to become Eversource Operator Qualified.

Working Conditions:

• Safety-sensitive position; subject to drug testing.
• Work in office and field environments, including audits, training, and problem-solving.
• Physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, occasional walking, handling objects, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Exposure to hazards like explosive gases, noise, traffic, and construction sites.
• Availability for emergency restoration and travel within MA/CT/NH.
