Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Specialist Programmer for the Power Programmers track in the United States. Recent graduates or students graduating between December 2025 and August 2027 are eligible.

You will work on modern tech stacks, contribute to large-scale platforms, and develop high-quality, secure software in a collaborative environment. You will engage in requirements, design, development, and deployment, with emphasis on problem-solving, learning, and open collaboration across teams.

As a Specialist Programmer, you will work on latest and next‑generation technologies, collaborate with experienced engineers, and build high‑quality, scalable, and secure software solutions. As a Specialist Programmer, You Would Be Expected To

• Requirement Gathering
  • Analyze user stories and use cases to ensure accurate understanding for production‑ready delivery.
• Design
  • Contribute to defining design specifications and technology frameworks and assist in creation of reusable assets to enhance productivity and support complex technology projects.
• Development
  • Deliver high‑quality, optimized and efficient code across applications and databases, engage in debugging complex routines and build automation.
• Knowledge Management
  • Support the team to foster a robust technical environment and ensure error‑free coding.
  • Participation in knowledge transfer sessions and assist in utilizing reverse engineering methodologies to support the transition process.
• Strategic Solutioning & Deployment
  • Assist in deploying solutions for future projects exploring new technologies through initial prototypes.
  • Facilitate adoption of emerging technologies through POC initiatives aligned to business needs.
• Performance Engineering
  • Support in implementation of technical services to meet quality service (QoS) requirements.
• Quality & Productivity
  • Contribute to development of reusable assets with specific focus on productivity improvement and support resolution of critical production issues.
  • Interface with customers during warranty support to ensure issues are fixed in a timely manner.
• Risk Management
  • Address technical issues during testing to ensure a reliable, production‑ready codebase.
  • Assist in mitigating risks by flagging them and support timely resolution in co‑ordination with the team.
• Testing
  • Fix issues during testing phases to ensure error‑free, clean releases.

Technical Skills

Mandatory: Candidates should have strong knowledge & academic project(s) in one or more of the following software development skillset groups:

• Application Development (any one of the below streams)
  • Java, Spring Boot and Microservices, Angular/React JS, Docker and K8S
  • Angular/React JS Or Next.js/Vue.js, MongoDB, NodeJS / JavaScript and Typescript.
  • C# .NET, ASP.NET .NET Core, MongoDB OR Any NoSQL database, Angular JS or JavaScript, ExpressJS / NodeJS
• Data Engineering:
  • Hadoop, Spark, PySpark, Hive, PostgreSQL, Python/Java, Kafka, Airflow and Beam.
• AI Engineering:
  • Python, Agentic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, NLP, MCP, Prompt/Context Engineering etc
• Also, candidate should have strong algorithmic, analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong problem solving mindset to debug complex technical issues and deliver error‑free and reliable outcomes.
• Proactive & effective collaboration and strong communication skills

Desirable knowledge in one or more of the below aspects

• Developing and deploying Microservices
• Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Object Oriented concepts and design patterns
• Knowledge on cloud‑based platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP etc

• The ability to adopt emerging technologies, translating them into practical prototypes.

Assessment Requirement

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 4 years) or equivalent required from an accredited institution with degree completed upon joining.
• Recent graduates or students graduating from December 2025-August 2027
• Majors must include:
• Computer Science
• Information Technology
• Software Engineering
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning OR AI Engineering
• Data Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields
• Consistent academic performance demonstrated through coursework and overall academic results, with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Willingness to relocate anywhere within the US.
