The role requires a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree with relevant DoD experience, strong leadership, and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Travel up to 25% and close collaboration with cross-functional teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 4+ years of related experience; graduate degree with 2+ years is preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related experience can satisfy requirements.
• PMI certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and contract a program, including scope and budget.
• Direct the assigned program to meet schedules, cost, and performance goals.
• Coordinate with engineering, contracts, finance, QA, and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and deliver program reviews to internal and external customers.

Job Description

The Missile Solutions Segment of L3Harris is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our Orange, VA office. This position will support the D5 LE FBM program. The Program Manager will assist in leading all phases of programs: planning, execution, strategy, and management. Drives program action to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue, profit, and cash flow for an existing program. Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for designated project areas working with a program lead or manager to achieve results.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for management and contract performance of a program or elements of a program.
• Manages and directs assigned program, which includes defining and understanding program scope, managing overall schedules and budget in accordance with applicable contractual and L3Harris policies.
• Assures through the assigned program team that contract performance responsibility is properly delegated to performing organizations and outside suppliers.
• Develops and implements plans for follow-on production programs including proposal development, submittal, negotiation, and definitization.
• Responsible for effectively briefing internal and external customers during Program Management Reviews.
• Responsible for effectively communicate with the Integrated Program Team which functions include engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, test, production support, procurement, contracts and finance.
• Up to 25% business travel to other L3Harris and customer sites.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of financial management and business development practices.
• Experience with DoD contract execution. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $80,500-$149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
