Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Control Specialist to coordinate and control manufacturing activities for rocket engine production. You will establish, maintain, and coordinate production schedules with manufacturing and assembly areas, ensuring on-time delivery and visibility across teams.

This role requires strong schedule management, ERP/MRP experience, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy, collaborative environment focused on safety and quality in spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • 3 years schedule management experience.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage daily schedule and communicate status of each job.
  • Plan material/kits staging to production and test areas.
  • Coordinate capacity planning and load to provide transparency to area leads.
  • Identify production constraints and collaborate on solutions.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of professionals, you join a team of Production Control Specialists responsible for coordinating and controlling manufacturing activities for rocket engine production. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of production planning and control. We will establish, maintain and coordinate production schedules with manufacturing and assembly areas. We put a strong emphasis on teamwork, as our Specialist are directly involved with projects and problem-solving, and succeed through active engagement with the team.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, maintain, communicate and drive the schedule to ensure on time delivery for service centers and integrated areas.
  • Schedule management throughout the day in order to maintain a dynamic accurate schedule. Clearly communicate the status of each job.
  • Coordinate the schedule, plan, and initial staging of material/kits to all vital areas of production and test.
  • Communicate and coordinate upcoming work center load (capacity planning) to provide transparency to area leads.
  • Identify and communicate constraints in the production flow and work with area leads to discuss possible solutions.
  • Interface and connect with internal customers for potential impact or delays in the schedule.
  • Management of WO Instance from creation to completion.
  • Coordinate all part handling that could involve having crates built, packing material for out-plant processes, etc.
  • Updating estimated on-dock dates in scheduling system, ex: assemblies in inventory ready for vehicle install.
