Specialist Podiatrist - Wound Care

You will be working collaboratively with our Multidisciplinary Diabetes Footcare and Community Podiatry teams. The role will encompass community team development, staff recruitment, offering clinical leadership whilst providing a high level of clinical care in the specialist area of wound care and tissue viability.

We are looking for two part-time (18.75 hours per week) experienced Podiatrists with a passion for clinical excellence and evidence of positive outcomes, to work with patients under the care of the Community Podiatry team. The successful candidates will need to be autonomous practitioners with experience in complex foot care needs and diabetes.

You should be an effective communicator with drive and enthusiasm to expand your team members' roles. You should be able to collaborate effectively with senior clinicians and medical colleagues to deliver excellent care.

You will manage a caseload, using evidence-based and patient-centred principles to assess, plan, and deliver individualized treatment programs for highly complex patients. You will delegate responsibilities within the team and to wider community services, manage information for service development, and demonstrate achievement of targets.

Main duties of the job

Provide clinical leadership across one of the community podiatry teams in Worcester City or Kidderminster, with support from other TV podiatry leads. There are two part-time posts available. The role includes participation in an on-call rota to cover urgent referrals received at weekends into the Multidisciplinary Diabetes Footcare Team, amounting to 4-5 sessions per year of 3 hours each on Saturdays and/or Bank Holidays, with additional pay and enhancements.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per year, pro-rata for part-time.
