Job summary

Baptist in Memphis is seeking a Pharmacist to advance patient outcomes by providing comprehensive clinical services, ensuring optimal medication use, and collaborating with the health care team.

Responsibilities include managing pharmacy practice, participating in committees, supervising staff, and handling sterile products; eligibility for licensure within 120 days; PGY residencies and board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy required.
• PGY-1 residency and/or 3+ years clinical experience.
• PGY-2 residency and/or Board Certification, BLS and ACLS or equivalent experience.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure or eligibility; must obtain within 120 days of hire.

Works in collaboration with health care team members to accomplish goals. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).

Training

• PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and/or equivalent clinical experience of three years.
• PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency and/or Pharmacy Board Certification, BLS and ACLS certifications and/or equivalent experience of greater than three years.

Special Skills

• Computer literacy, interpersonal skills, general clinical awareness
• Advanced communication skills and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. High-level cognitive ability to interpret and assess written medication orders to ensure optimal medication use. Teaching skills and qualified to precept residents, students, interns and externs.
• Membership with state and/or national hospital pharmacy associations.

Licensure

• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure for appropriate state or eligibility for licensure. Must acquire licensure within 120 days of hire date.
