Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently as directed, including:
• Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location, complying with company policies and government regulations.
• Work courteously and professionally with customers.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling, loosening nuts, opening hatches, and attaching/detaching hoses.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks using appropriate machinery/equipment, handling bulk and packaged materials.
• Control and monitor all load-out functions.
• Operate automated scale/dump systems.
• Perform and record maintenance tasks such as lubrication, inspecting for leaks, and ensuring equipment functionality.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
• Deliver products like fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and feed to customer sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, including housekeeping and spill cleanup.
• Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as loaders and forklifts, and handle inventory management.
• Report customer complaints, repairs, safety concerns, and hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, promoting a strong safety culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth facility operations and excellent customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of operations and/or business operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL license or ability to obtain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Agriculture experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Pre-employment screening may include drug, criminal, motor vehicle checks, physical requirements, and FMSCA Clearinghouse, depending on job requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
• Ability to work in dust, adverse weather, and temperature conditions.
