Baltimore County is seeking a Non-Merit Peer Recovery Specialist role in Towson, MD. The position emphasizes building trusted relationships with a recovery team, maintaining ethical boundaries and confidentiality, and helping clients reach goals through peer-led support.
Responsibilities include supervision-related documentation, outreach planning, and collaboration with the program supervisor to ensure effective service delivery in the Bureau of Behavioral Health.
Regular Schedule: 34 hours per week.

Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

High School Diploma
At least two years of working as a certified peer recovery specialist in a professional environment.
Applicants must be certified in Maryland as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and as a Registered Peer Supervisor (RPS)
Proof of licenses, certifications and/or education must be submitted with each application.
Applicants that have been certified in another state should check with the Maryland Association of Behavioral Health Professional Certification Board for the guidelines of reciprocity (MABPCP.com)
