Position Overview
The Manager of New Development, plays a pivotal role in supporting the new development ground team alongside the Senior Manager, ensuring effective guidance throughout the leasing process. This position requires a dynamic and engaging individual who actively participates in onsite leasing activities, utilizing each interaction as an opportunity for training and mentoring. The Manager also focuses on cultivating strategic partnerships with local businesses, academic institutions, and community stakeholders to drive leasing opportunities. Additionally, the role involves identifying and implementing improvements in leasing strategies and providing support to local teams by assisting in day-to-day operations while traveling as needed.
What You Will Do
- Assist in the oversight of the new development ground team alongside the Senior Manager to ensure the team has support and guidance throughout leasing.
- Lead by example by actively engaging in onsite leasing activities and utilizing each interaction as an opportunity for hands-on training and mentoring.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with local businesses, academic institutions, and community stakeholders to expand our reach and drive leasing opportunities.
- Identify areas for improvement in existing leasing strategies and collaborate with supporting departments to implement enhancements.
- Assist in day-to-day operations while traveling on an as-needed basis, serving as a pinch hitter as we work to staff up local teams.
Ideally, you'll have
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in leasing, property management, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time.

- Engaging with others, relates well with diverse teams, and excels at making social connections .
- Understanding current college trends, and what's important to each respective new development market.
- Experience with Entrata and Yardi Software(s)

Base Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually. Final salary within this range will depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, typically ranging between 5-10% of base salary annually, depending on individual and organizational performance.
