The IMDL Specialist is responsible for executing daily activities of intermodal freight, focusing on customer and carrier needs, account growth, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include load management, tracking container dwell, maintaining service quality, and maximizing profitability.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily operations for assigned intermodal accounts, understanding their growth strategies and contractual agreements.
  • Track customer shipments, monitor load board activities, and ensure proper servicing of loads.
  • Provide exceptional customer support by responding to inquiries, updating load statuses, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, drayage, and rail partners.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Identify and resolve freight movement issues, managing incidents and accessorials to maximize profit.
  • Support team efforts and assist colleagues as needed.
