Job summary

RXO is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination across North America. You will maintain customer profiles and relay status to account managers.

A minimum of 1 year in logistics, strong verbal and written communication, solid math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required. Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts is expected.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; update receivers and customers on load status
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify loads arrived on time and in good condition
• Take check calls from drivers; ensure timely delivery and validate load data for accounting
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages; complete required documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments; accept/decline loads per direction from account managers
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders
• Update account managers on problem loads and what actions have been taken, update receivers and customers on status of loads
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads based on direction from account managers
• Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 1 year of logistics experience
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid math skills
• Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
