Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, or Communication with emphasis on written communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Canva and Workday LMS preferred.
• Degree in HR or a communications-focused field or relevant experience preferred.

The Learning and Development Specialist is an essential part of the Skechers Learning and Development team who supports the team's goal of creating a culture of continuous learning, ensuring employees are equipped with the required skills and knowledge, driving both individual growth and organizational performance. In this role, the Learning and Development Specialist plays a vital part in shaping meaningful employee experiences across a range of learning programs and initiatives — helping employees feel supported, prepared, and empowered to grow at every stage of their journey.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Program Management & Delivery

• Own and manage the end-to-end execution of assigned learning programs and initiatives, from planning and development through delivery and evaluation.
• Facilitate dynamic learning experiences for diverse audiences across virtual and in-person environments that drive engagement, participation, and practical application of knowledge.
• Coordinate training calendars, logistics, set-up, communications, and program materials to ensure smooth delivery of learning experiences.
• Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure assigned programs remain current, relevant, and aligned with evolving business needs.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within assigned programs and across the broader L&D portfolio.
• Balance multiple learning projects and timelines simultaneously while ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality learning experiences and materials.

Learning Content & Design

• Collaborate with the Learning & Development team and key stakeholders, including HR and business partners across Skechers' global teams, to identify learning and development needs and requirements.
• Ensure learning programs and content are aligned with organizational goals and career development paths while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and relevance across all learning experiences.
• Develop and maintain engaging learning materials including facilitator guides, presentations, participant workbooks, job aids, e-learning modules, and multimedia content using tools such as Articulate Rise, Canva, and other content authoring tools.
• Leverage learning technologies and innovative learning strategies to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness across diverse audiences.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness through participation metrics, learner feedback, knowledge retention, and business impact measures to support continuous improvement.
• Stay current on industry trends, instructional design practices, and learning technologies.
• Support the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning platforms, ensuring all learning content is organized, accessible, and user-friendly for employees while upholding Skechers L&D LMS Standards to ensure global consistency.

Program Facilitation & Delivery

• Facilitate engaging and impactful learning sessions for varied audiences in both virtual and in-person settings, fostering an inclusive and energizing learning environment.
• Adapt facilitation style and approach to meet the needs of diverse learner groups, experience levels, and delivery formats.
• Ensure all facilitated experiences are on-brand, up-to-date, and incorporate approved regional and organizational information.

Team Collaboration & Support

• Connect and collaborate with global L&D partners to ensure identified learning experiences are globally consistent and to discover regional best practices.
• Consult with HR and business partners to align learning solutions with organizational priorities and business objectives.
• Support organizational development initiatives including employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, and change management efforts as needed.

Pay range for this position is $75,000– $80,000/year USD.
