Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Integration/Test Engineering in North Amityville, NY. You’ll work with engineers on setup, calibration, rework and quality testing for parts and assemblies, and you’ll help develop and execute test procedures and reports across qualification and production programs.

The role requires strong data analysis, test planning and hands-on testing with vibration and thermal environments, plus collaboration with R&D and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience or graduate degree with 2+ years.
• In lieu of degree, 8+ years of related experience accepted.
• Experience with vibration and thermal tests is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and decipher recorded test data.
• Create, revise, maintain test plans, procedures and reports for qualification and production programs.
• Run and program electrodynamic vibration shakers and thermal chambers.
• Manage and execute qualification test programs.
• Write, maintain and execute ATPs on electromechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot at top level and component level units.
• Support ET&E activities for R&D and production programs.
• Provide feedback to test engineers to improve processes.
• Observe best practices for FOD, ESD and material handling controls.

Job Title: Specialist, Integration/Test Engineering (Job Code: 41748) (Job Location: North Amityville, New York) (Job Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off)

Job Description:

• Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to collect, analyze and decipher recorded test data.

• Assist other engineers perform engineering test & evaluations (ET&E) for R&D and production programs.
• Provide feedback to test engineers to improve test processes/methodologies.
• Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the NYC areas is Min $88,500.00 - $164,500.00 Max. The salary range for this role in New York state is $76,500.00 Min - $142,500.00 Max. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
