Mountain America Credit Union is seeking a skilled Insurance/Compliance Associate to support governance and risk mitigation. You will administer insurance, manage records, and coordinate with brokers, carriers, and legal counsel to ensure policy compliance and timely resolutions.
This hybrid role involves collaboration across Legal, HR, and Risk teams, with a mix of in-office and remote work based on business needs.
Administers insurance, incident management, contract administration, records retention, and litigation support activities that support organizational compliance, governance, and risk mitigation efforts. Applies independent judgment within established policies and procedures to evaluate issues, coordinate resolutions, maintain accurate records, and recommend appropriate actions. Partners with internal stakeholders, brokers, carriers, and legal counsel to support the effective administration of insurance and legal risk management processes.
Location – Mountain America Center - Hybrid 9800 S Monroe St Sandy, UT 84070. SCHEDULE – Full Time; this is a hybrid schedule with some weekly in office expectation, based on business need. To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully.

Typically requires minimum of 2 years related experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Licenses, Certifications, Registrations – None at this time.
Administers legal, privacy, and insurance processes within assigned areas of responsibility. Performs moderately complex data analysis and reporting. Provides periodic reports and updates as required by team. Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations within established guidelines. Develops solid understanding of applications within business environment.
Physical Demands – Ability to sit for extended periods, talk and hear consistently. Vision Requirements – Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Weight Lifted or Force Exerted – Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
There are no unusual environmental factors (such as a typical office). Noise Environment – Moderate noise (business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
This Job is not eligible to be performed in Colorado or Connecticut, either remotely or in-person.
