Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in materials management, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
  • Experience with purchase orders, supplier communication, inventory monitoring, or materials planning.
  • Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • On-site work with flexible hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for raw materials from predetermined suppliers, including creating purchase orders and maintaining records.
  • Review material requirements, inventory levels, and production needs to determine order timing and quantities.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, shipment schedules, and delivery dates; follow up on delays or issues.
  • Communicate order requirements, quantity changes, and delivery expectations with suppliers.
  • Review and negotiate transportation, freight, and transit-related costs for raw material shipments.
  • Track material shortages and supply issues; collaborate with internal teams and suppliers for timely resolution.
  • Maintain PO, shipment, pricing, inventory and related information in systems; ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare regular purchasing, shipment and material-status updates for Materials Management and headquarters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

At LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc., the Specialist II, Materials Management Procurement supports raw materials purchasing activities to help ensure the timely and efficient flow of materials needed for production. This role works closely with suppliers, internal teams, and headquarters to support purchasing operations, maintain accurate information, and address material-related needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned raw materials frompre-determined suppliers, including creating purchase orders, confirming quantities, and maintaining accurate purchasing records.
  • Review material requirements, inventory levels, and production needs to determine appropriate order timing and quantities based on established purchasing plans.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, shipment schedules, and expected delivery dates, and follow up on delays, shortages, or other issues that may impact production.
  • Communicate order requirements, quantity changes, delivery expectations, and other purchasing updates with assigned suppliers.
  • Review and negotiate transportation, freight, and other transit-related costs associated with raw material shipments.
  • Track material shortages, delivery risks, and supply issues and work with internal teams and suppliers to support timely resolution.
  • Maintain purchase order, shipment, pricing, inventory, and related purchasing information in applicable systems and ensure documentation remains accurate and complete.
  • Prepare regular purchasing, shipment, and material-status updates for the Materials Management team and headquarters, including significant delays, cost changes, and supply concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in materials management, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Experience with purchase orders, supplier communication, inventory monitoring, or materials planning.
  • Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site and maintain flexibility in work hours based on business needs.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchasing activities and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining purchasing, supplier, and inventory information.
  • Ability to analyze purchasing and inventory data and identify potential supply or delivery concerns.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills when working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
