Job summary

Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services team member in Anniston, AL. This full-time day shift role performs cleaning and servicing of hospital areas to maintain a neat, sanitary environment according to procedures.

You will work in patient rooms, offices, hallways and other areas, assisting housekeeping as needed. Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent preferred, ability to work well with others, good verbal and written communication, and

• Must be able to stand and walk for long hours and operate EVS technology (bed tracking, mobile devices, online work orders).

full-time , days , 7:30a-4pm/every other weekend

Cleans and services hospital areas and performs a variety of duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition according to established procedures.
Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Assists in housekeeping department as needed to lift, move and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc.

• Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, and other areas assigned.
• Collects trash and cleans trash receptacles.
• Supplies are replaced in the dispensers daily.
• Project work and detail cleaning ishandledas required.

Working Conditions: May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases. May be in contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstances. Able to handle emergency or crisis situations. Occasionally subject to irregular hours. May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary.

Education:HS diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience: Must be able to work well with others. Verbal and written communications skills are required. Is expected to project a professional attitude in appearance and conduct. Is expected to attend work as scheduled. Must comply with the Hospital's Code of Conduct. Must be able to stand and walk for long hours and have the mobility and strength to move quickly, stoop, and/or bend repeatedly. Must have dexterity of hands, eyes, and mindto perform assigned tasks. Must have the ability to remain calm under stress. Must be able to use EVS-related technology including bed tracking systems, mobile communication devices, and electronic work order platforms.
