Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. seeks an Operations Trainer to establish and lead a Training Center of Excellence on the manufacturing floor. You will develop, coordinate, and facilitate programs for operators to managers, covering production basics, 6S, and CI practices.

You will train staff at all levels, apply adult learning principles, and report on training outcomes to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year College Degree in Business, Education, Industrial Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training, learning & development, or a related field
• Experience with training program development and implementation
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Job description

Position Summary:

The Operations Trainer is responsible for establishing and maintaining a Training Center of Excellence. This role will develop, coordinate, and facilitate training programs for all levels of plant personnel, including shop floor operators, team leads, supervisors, managers, and salaried staff. Training topics will cover essential skills for working on the production line, 6S methodologies, continuous improvement concepts, and company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year College Degree in Business, Education, Industrial Management, or related field, or equivalent experience


• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training, learning & development, or a related field


• Experience with training program development and implementation


• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles


• Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook


• Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry


• Previous leadership or supervisory experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:
