Responsibilities

The Specialist Epic Training 3 is responsible for leading and participating in new and ongoing Epic training projects across all UF Health locations. This role involves coordinating all phases of Epic training for upgrades, new projects, new users, and ongoing support and education, including curriculum development and environment setup. The specialist collaborates with Informatics and Application teams and ensures effective training delivery by certified and credentialed trainers and super users. A thorough understanding of Epic system functionality and departmental workflows related to supported applications is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong planning, analytical, communication, leadership, and relationship skills, with a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs. This position supports Epic trainers without conducting the actual training.

This role supports all UF Health locations, including Leesburg Hospital and Spanish Plains Hospital.

This is a full-time, remote, salaried exempt position, working approximately Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Travel to various sites may be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university plus one year of relevant work experience required.
    • Equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • None required.

    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    • Ability to work independently within a team-oriented, highly productive environment.
    • Effective communication skills with customers and leadership.
    • Proven ability to lead change and facilitate transitions.
