Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking a Customer Master Data Specialist to manage end-to-end creation and maintenance of customer accounts in SAP. You will ensure data integrity across contact info, pricing, ordering preferences, and sales reps, while partnering with sales, operations and finance to resolve discrepancies and support acquisitions and branch transitions.

About the Role

The Customer Master Data Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end creation and ongoing maintenance of all Airgas customer accounts in SAP. In this role, you will ensure high data integrity across customer contact information, pricing structures, ordering preferences, and assigned sales representatives. You will partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance to troubleshoot account discrepancies and support critical business events like acquisitions and branch transitions. Your work directly establishes data accuracy and operational efficiency across the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Account Setup & Governance: Execute daily creation, modification, and restructuring requests for customer master accounts in SAP in strict alignment with data governance policies and standard operating procedures.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, bulk teams, and finance to support complex account restructuring, branch openings/closures, mergers, acquisitions, and asset balance management.
• Pricing & System Maintenance: Accurately process and update customer pricing agreements, bulk asset billings, and account preferences with meticulous attention to detail and pricing compliance.
• Customer Service & Process Optimization: Provide responsive internal customer support via email, phone, and chat, while actively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, document SOPs, and reduce processing times.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong computer proficiency, including intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
• Proven ability to manipulate, analyze, and troubleshoot large amounts of data with extreme attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience utilizing SAP, specifically customer master data or financial applications.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an office environment handling customer-facing or internal support activities.
• Familiarity with branch operations, order entry workflows, inventory management, or industrial supply chain processes.
