Job summary

BNY is seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst to support custody functions for organizational accounts. Under guidance from senior staff, you will process basic mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, monitor and scrub data, and post entitlements to client accounts while ensuring quality controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in financial services or corporate actions is preferred.
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
  • No direct reports.
  • May have people management responsibilities in some geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mandatory and voluntary corporate actions custody functions for all organizational accounts.
  • With guidance from more senior staff, process basic mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, including the daily interpretation, monitoring, scrubbing and notification of corporate action events.
  • Process liability notices, allocate dividend interest payments, and process class action suits.
  • Reconcile, monitor and post entitlements to client accounts, while performing daily and monthly outlier review, research and documentation, daily reconciliations for cash, security and suspense transactions, and adhering to established quality control measures and procedures.
  • Research and respond to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, Investment Managers, sub custodians and/or custodians while working on multiple systems to perform corporate action processing.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
