Chevron Phillips Chemical Company is seeking a Specialist - Business Analytics to join the Business Data Analytics organization supporting the Supply Chain function at our headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.

The role focuses on data-driven decision making using SAP data, Power BI, and modern data platforms, partnering with Supply Chain stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimize processes and improve visibility. Strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Analytics, BI, or Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Supply Chain analytics, providing insights to improve planning, logistics, inventory management, customer service, and overall operational performance.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets from SAP and other enterprise systems to identify trends, uncover inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards that support Supply Chain performance management.
  • Partners with Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Commercial, and third-party vendors to integrate data across multiple platforms and systems.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Support strategy development, budgeting activities, and operational planning through advanced data analysis and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain semantic models, data models, and reporting architectures that enable self-service analytics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, process optimization, and digital transformation projects.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across reporting solutions.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership through compelling visualizations and executive-level presentations.

Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Specialist - Business Analytics to join the Business Data Analytics organization supporting the Supply Chain function at our headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.

This role will be responsible for driving data-driven decision making across Supply Chain by leveraging SAP data, Power BI analytics, and modern data platforms. The successful candidate will partner closely with Supply Chain business stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimize processes, improve operational visibility, and support business transformation initiatives. This position combines business process expertise with strong technical and analytical skills to develop scalable reporting and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience working with SAP ERP data and Supply Chain business processes, including Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning, Inventory Management, and Logistics Execution.
  • Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modeling, DAX development, and dashboard and report design.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience querying enterprise databases and data warehouses.
  • Experience developing scalable reporting and analytics solutions using modern data architectures.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive business process improvements through analytics.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP HANA, including data modeling, views, and analytics development.
  • Experience with Alteryx is good to have.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, or cloud-based data engineering and analytics environments.
  • Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data sources using APIs and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of supply chain optimization, forecasting, inventory analytics, transportation analytics, or logistics performance management.
  • Experience within the petrochemical, manufacturing, chemical, or industrial sectors.
