Job summary

Frontier Airlines is seeking an Asset Control Specialist to manage the turn-in process for aircraft parts, ensure accuracy in FMIS transactions and maintain tight control of quarantine inventory. You will support rail and air logistics, verify part condition codes and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues.

The role requires prior warehouse and airline parts experience with at least one year in a Material Specialist capacity, and a strong working knowledge of FMIS and MS Office

What Will You Be Doing?

The Asset Control Specialist is responsible for steps in the turn-in process including but not limited to transactions, resolving discrepancies and measuring various input and outputs while observing requirements outlined in the GMM and FARs.

Essential Functions

• Perform accurate transactions on parts returned to inventory in FMIS.
• Safeguard company assets by tracking returned parts to assure all issued inventory is accounted for on a daily basis and coordinate with the customers to resolve any outstanding parts.
• Create weekly metrics and reports to measure various inputs and outputs during turn-in transactions.
• Complete accurate removal transactions to maintain required aircraft records in the parts inventory system.
• Complete accurate inventory count verifications on a multi-million dollar inventory.
• Analyze FMIS system failures and discrepancies and coordinate with the appropriate departments to resolve them in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure warehouse security.
• Observe strict Federal (FAA) and DOT regulatory compliance in all departmental activities.
• Organize and maintain order in the area designated for quarantine parts including but not limited to maintaining accurate condition codes and bin locations.
• Responsible for maintaining the Material Scrap Evaluation to determine actions required to remove parts from the quarantine area.
• Complete required FMIS transactions to properly disposition parts processed by the Material Scrap Evaluation and coordinate with the Support Shops to ensure parts are available for physical destruction if required.
• Assure the condition code and bin location are accurately assigned and parts are properly stored in preparation for future sales when identified as surplus inventory.
• Track parts in a robbed status and coordinate resolution with other departments as needed to return the parts to serviceable condition.
• Perform daily stores maintenance to ensure physical stores shelving and flat surfaces are dust and litter free.

• All other duties as reasonably requested by the Sr Manager, Materials Management

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse experience required
• Prior parts experience in the airline industry preferred
• One year experience as a Material Specialist or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of handling hazardous and electronic sensitive devices preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Power Point required
• Knowledge of FMIS, including specialized knowledge of the Orphan Item screen, the Transaction Desktop and the ability to thoroughly research and analyze parts inventory in FMIS

Equipment Operated

• Office equipment including computer, fax, copier, etc
• General warehouse equipment including forklift, pallet jack, small truck and hand truck operation
• Motorized vehicle in the vicinity of aircraft and aircraft handling equipment

Work Environment

• Hangar and parts warehouse environment

Physical Effort

Position requires strenuous physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.

Starts at $22.16 per hour, plus premiums

• Swing Shift = .35 cents
• Grave Shift = .50 cents
• Asset Control Analyst= $1.50
• Lead = $1.50
