Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain documents and records.
  • Assist with bookkeeping and accounting records/reports.

  • Manage and arrange display cases of student work.
  • Display announcements and advertise events.
  • Take meeting minutes.
  • File division documents electronically and physically.
  • Safeguard confidential information.
  • Assist with inventory of computers and office equipment.
  • Handle and distribute mail.
  • Update division documents.
  • Maintain architecture classrooms.
  • Report division problems.
  • Perform simple equipment/furniture repairs.
  • Support students, faculty, staff with department work.
  • Maintain and manage lab/workroom areas.

  • Be punctual in attendance and work.

Job Summary

Provide office, student, staff, and faculty support for the Division of Visual Art & Design - Architecture department at the Taylorsville SLCC campus Technology Building. Includes facilities maintenance of dedicated rooms in the Technology Building labs, equipment, materials, etc. Main responsibilities will include assisting faculty with miscellaneous tasks relating to the classroom experience and other duties assigned, as well as maintaining a clean working environment in classrooms/labs. May be asked to help with tutoring and assisting students with 3D printing and laser cutting.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with experience working in an office and/or customer service setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some work experience in a College/University environment and/or some scholastic experience in taking and passing college-level courses.
