Job Summary:
This role is responsible for duties related to design services,room numbers, archives, research, printing and project support toother Managers and Directors in the Real Estate and Facilities(RE&F) Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Reviews and evaluates work requests and visits with requester toreview scope of work
- Surveys project areas to document existing conditions foraccuracy with existing base plans, confirm visible utilities,identify any items that may not be code compliant, and providesdesign drawings to requesters for approval and, prior to releasing,ensures leadership approval of the drawings for construction andclosing out request in TMA system
- Coordinates with Director of Environmental Services to find outif asbestos containing materials are present in project areas forinclusion in the design drawings of internal small renovationprojects
- Works with other team members inside the RE&F Department,such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, in the preparation ofconstruction drawings
- Provides drawings to the Senior Manager for review and addressescomments from the Senior Manager
- Updates base plans using closeout record drawings provided by theconstruction team after projects are built
- Provides limited printing services to other employees inside theRE&F Department, and to other employees outside the departmentwhen submitted by iService requests
- Processes the release of historical information and electronicfiles to outside design professionals and vendors, for use in newrenovation and construction projects, through the execution of adrawing release form when requested by RE&F projectmanagers
- Provides graphic support to Directors and Project Managers forthe development of project scopes and board meetingpresentations
- Responsible for the upkeep of all architectural, furniture,engineering, civil and utility base plans and maintaining the filedata base contained in the Autodesk Vault server
- Reviews the format of record drawings, provided by outsideprofessionals and vendors, for compliance with TCCD graphicsstandards prior to archiving in the Vault server
- Assists in the sign making process by helping process signrequests made to the sign shop, performing a quality control checkon signs being made, and overseeing the outflow of signs forinstallation by campus maintenance personnel
- Assists the Senior Manager in the assignment of new room numbersby preparing a spread sheet for the CMMS team to implement the newnumbers in all the TCCD databases and other special projects suchas code research, site surveys or others, when requested by theSenior Manager
- Works closely with the CMMS team in revising room numbers whenrequested by other TCCD staff.

- Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the EssentialPerformance Requirements*
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
- Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of theCollege
Supervision
- Works under the general supervision of Senior Manager ofArchitecture

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or 60 hours minimum college credits and three(3) years' working experience related to the Essential PerformanceRequirements; or an equivalent combination of education andwork-experience
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or relatedprofessional degree
- At least one (1) year’s working experience under the guidance ofan architect, engineer, or contractor
- At least one (1) year’s working experience with Autodesk Vault,Revit 3D software, GIS, or ArchGIS for AutoCAD
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of building codes requirements
- Skilled using AutoCAD version 2019 or newer, Microsoft suiteapplications and enterprise systems, including word processing,spreadsheet, and presentation software, and Adobe officeproducts
- Skilled in customer service and oral and writtencommunications
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to collaborate with others and work in a teamenvironment
- Ability to read construction documents
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicateproblems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work arevaried, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations basedon policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
