Position Overview:

The Special Vehicle Tester II will perform specialized testing of connected vehicle features that cannot be done during mileage accumulation routes. Tests will be conducted in vehicles, parking lots, or on the road.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct specialized vehicle testing of connected features such as internet, location, entertainment, and security.
  2. Handle data recording and transfer, including connecting and securing measurement equipment before testing and removing it afterward.
  3. Perform vehicle diagnostic readouts and review results for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
  4. Follow customer-specific testing procedures for specialized vehicle testing.
  5. Complete and submit test results and evaluation forms into customer systems, attaching links/documents from measurement equipment.
  6. Interface with team, customer engineers, and stakeholders to review results, answer questions, and provide feedback.
  7. Perform full vehicle functionality testing.
  8. Test Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Minimum qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a test driver role or equivalent.
  • Good driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform basic functions in Microsoft Office and on mobile devices.
  • Capable of following wiring instructions to connect vehicle harnesses to measurement equipment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electronic devices and applications.

Preferred additional skills:

  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
